Three sunglasses trends for diamond-shaped faces

Given the wide variety in styles and shapes, it is difficult to choose the right glasses. Your sunglasses should not only protect your eyes but also fit your personal style and enhance your features.

So the first thing is identifying the shape of your face. At Eyewear Concept, we have already talked about glasses for round-shaped faces, long facessquare faces and heart-shaped faces.

If you think your face’s shape is none of those, you might have a diamond-shaped face. Keep reading and learn the tips that will allow you to choose the best-fitting glasses for you!

Which sunglasses are best fitting if I have a diamond-shaped face?

If your face is diamond shaped, the broader area of your face will be around your cheekbones and eyes. Conversely, your forehead and chin will be narrower.

To balance your features, use frames that draw attention to your eyes, eyebrows and forehead.

Cat-eye sunglasses

Cat-eye glasses are ideal for you as their design creates the illusion of a broader forehead. Cat-eye lenses are also narrower in the lower part, so they won’t add volume to your cheekbones.

Another proposal is these cat eye by DG with golden pink metal frame and lace-like effect. The lenses, in degraded pink, combine perfectly with the design’s smart looks. Sophisticated and bold!

Oval frames

An oval frame will feature a subtle but very flattering touch, as it will contrast with the broader part of your face. A good option is the Bolon Birdy. The smart oval shape is complemented by the effect of a modern light pink frame and blue lenses. Groundbreaking!

Another option are these ovate lenses by Oliver Peoples with thytanium frames and a clasic print in havana. They are a different and exclusive version of the vintage style.

Browline + cat eye

We have already talked about the wonderful effects of cat eye glasses on diamond-shaped faces. But, if we mix this style with the browline, the result is even better!

The browline, inspired by the RayBan’s Wayfarer, contrasts with the cheekbones by adding volume to that part of the face. These Gucci are a spectacular example thanks to the golden details and the pearl effect in the upper part and to frameless lenses in the lower part. Made for you, my dear diamond-shaped face!

In the same line, but with a more classic style, these Havana-coloured Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses with brown lenses are a must and an everlasting trend.

These tips can be very useful when looking for the perfect sunglasses for you. These little tricks are based on aesthetic proportions that, in theory, will help you enhance your features. But, as we always say, don’t limit yourself. Every person is different and no one knows which sunglasses fit you best better than you. Whichever your style is, at Eyewear you’ll find it for sure!
