Inspired by the Mexican culture and art, Dolce & Gabbana has introduced its creations of haute couture in a Latin-American country –Mexico- for the first time.
Colourful streets, tasty food and fun music are some of the elements that can be found in the new #DGLovesMexico campaign, which takes place in the beautiful Mexican streets.

The designers’ idea was to create a Latin party, where luxury was not only present in clothes, glasses or purses, but also in experiences. This campaign connects people, shows their lives and their looks, fitting the local aesthetics. The pictures by the Morelli Brothers are so natural that this does not even seem an advertising campaign!
2. The claim of tradition and contemporary values
In general terms, this whole campaign has been an ode to Mexico: Frida Kahlo, the Virgin of Guadalupe, mariachis, adelitas, huicholes, tarahumaras, penachos, catrinas and an exquisite combination of opulent details as if they were taken from 16th-century paintings.
3. Support from outstanding Mexican characters
Both for the presentation event and for the show and the campaign, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had the collaboration of influencers and great Mexican celebrities such as Paola Alberdi, Rafael Sánchez, Mariana Zaragoza, Michelle Salas or Andrés Zurita.
This campaign is part of the #DGLoves… series with which the brand tries to pay tribute to some cities: New York, Milan, Mykonos…
